1. 7000 Series Precision Air Carts
2. Morris Precision 7000 Series Air Carts let you adapt to changing farming practices... Today you might seed into summerfallow, tomorrow minimum till seed with a double- shoot boot while applying granular, liquid or anhydrous fertilizer - all in one pass. Whatever the application, the Morris 7000 Series Air Cart is the right machine for the job. It can be easily configured to meet your requirements. Morris engineers have designed the 7000 Series to perfectly fit your operation with the right combination of tank sizes, and drive options. Corrosion resistant hardware and enhanced tank surfacing will not only add to the longevity of these units, but will increase their future value. Easy to read seed and fertilizer charts are conveniently located. Morris’ spiral fluted metering wheels gently roll product into the airstream from fine canola seed to larger pulses and fertilizer. Posi-Drive Transmission - using a positive lock on all drive sprockets to deliver smooth and reliable metering. The positive ground drive from the air cart wheel compen - sates for any changes in ground speed, ensuring precise product rates at all times. The smooth horizontal flow of material is retained by Morris’ patented Flat Fan Divider Head, which eliminates abrupt direction changes found in vertical divider heads. The Morris system minimizes seed damage, reducing input costs and increasing yields. The unique shape of the divider head distributes the product evenly to each secondary hose. Individually matched with the metering wheel, the divider head provides precise distribution of the product to each run. From the Air Cart to the ground, Morris provides advantages that are unmatched by competitors. Unique spiral fluted metering wheels gently roll product into the air stream in a constant flow - providing a distinct contrast to the uneven dumping of straight fluted metering wheels. Dual speed metering on the front tank allows you accurately meter lower rates of fine seed such as canola and grasses. On the MORRIS system, product does not have to be lifted and experiences no 90-degree bends or sharp turns, so only one fan is required to move product from the meter bodies to the ground. An industrial piston-type hydraulic motor powers a 13” (33 cm) diameter forward curved fan that is 98% efficient. Use of larger hydraulic lines decrease flow restrictions for less heat buildup under higher fan speeds. The Morris variable rate option is quick, responsive and accurate for on-the-go rate changes.
3. The walk-through tank design creates a firm standing platform with fill lids at waist level. The Third Tank option allows you to increase productivity. Incorporate three applications in a single pass, significantly reducing both time and expense. Consider the benefits of applying your starter fertilizer with your seed, while deep banding additional fertilizer at the same time. The Third Tank is capable of metering the new granular innocculent used on pulse crops such as peas and beans. This allows for precision placement of the innocculent in the soil with the seed. It also eliminates unnecessary handling of product. All three tanks utilize the same metering body for accurate blending and efficiency. 7000 Series Air Carts are designed for operator safety and convenience Focusing on operator safety and convenience, Morris developed the innovative walk-through tank design. Providing a firm standing platform, with the air cart fill lids at waist level, the design eliminates the need for bending. Access to the platform is available from ladders on either side of the air cart. Expanding farms and reduced manpower make tank size important. The 7000 Series Air Cart features three tank sizes - from 180 to 300 bushels. The expanded payload means less filling and more time seeding. Morris carts feature complete seed and fertilizer clean-out essential for multi-crop operations and seed growers. Single shoot, double shoot or triple shoot in a tow behind configuration for all tank sizes. These options are also available in a tow between configuration. Double Shoot Single Shoot Triple Shoot with Granular Tank Triple Shoot with Third Tank Option The Granular Tank option allows you to broadcast granular herbi - cide on the soil surface, while accurately plac - ing seed and fertilizer at two different levels in the soil. Morris’ innovative design makes it convenient to switch between single and double shoot with a flip of a lever. The Diverter Valve allows the product in each tank to combine evenly into one air stream. Or, you can choose to keep the product separate. When double shooting, a fully adjustable plenum lets you divert more air to the meter with heavier products and higher rates of application, and less with lighter or more fragile prod - ucts. The 7000 Series auger is double-hinged for exceptional balance, allowing one person to easily load and unload. The 7180 model is equipped with a 7” auger. The 7240 and 7300 models come with 8” auger. Screens prevent debris getting into the tanks when filling.
